The XLS-708 4-pack is a replacement cartridge set for the Pentair Clean & Clear Plus 360 (legacy Pac Fab) and American Products Quantum RPM 360 (dated before 11/98). It replaces Pentair R173574 / R173211, along with aftermarket Pleatco PCM90, Unicel C-7476 and Filbur FC-0675.

Each cartridge is 7" in diameter and 20" long with a 3" open end cap top and bottom, and carries 90 sq ft of filter media, 360 sq ft across the 4 cartridges in this pack.

Measuring your old cartridge

  • Length — cap to cap, with both end caps included.
  • Diameter — across the widest point of the pleats, not the end cap.
  • End caps — whether each end is open or closed, and the size of any opening.

A variance of ⅛" is normal. Anything larger usually means a different housing model — check the number printed on your old cartridge against the compatible parts list before ordering.

How do I check that this cartridge fits?

Find the part number printed on your old cartridge in the Compatibility tab. If you cannot read it, measure the outside diameter and the length, check both end caps, and compare them with the Specifications tab. A difference of about 1/8 inch is normal; more than that usually means a different filter model. Matching measurements alone do not prove a fit: some of our cartridges share a size and differ in filtration area or end caps.

How often should I replace my filter cartridge?

Most pool and spa cartridges last one to two seasons, depending on how much the water is used and its chemistry. Rinse the cartridge monthly during heavy use, and replace it when cleaning no longer brings the flow back or the pleats show wear.

What if it does not fit?

First check the part number on your old cartridge against the Compatibility tab: most fit problems come from ordering for a different filter model.
