Check the model number printed on the filter tank or lid (for example C900 or C1200), or read the CX part number molded into the end cap of your current cartridge, then match it in the chart above. If neither is legible, measure outer diameter, length, and end-cap style with our how-to-measure guide, but measuring alone cannot separate every size: the C751 and C900 cartridges are both 17 3/8" long, and the C1200 and C1502 cartridges are both 23 5/16" long.
StarClear Plus is the single-cartridge in-ground line (C751 through C2002) using open-ended cartridges. StarClear II is the older C800/C1100/C1500 family that uses a different cartridge geometry — the two families do not share cartridges, so confirm which name is on your tank. The original StarClear C750, 100 and C-1000 take a third, narrower cartridge, the XLS-772.
The C1500 uses two 75 sq ft CX800RE-style elements, not one 150 sq ft cartridge. Order two XLS-856 cartridges to replace the full set.
