Hayward SwimClear Filter Cartridges

Most SwimClear and Super Star-Clear housings run four cartridges; the large C7030 runs eight smaller elements. Replace the complete set at once — our packs are sized to a full change.

On the label on the filter tank (for example C4030 or C5025), or read the CX part number molded into the end cap of a current cartridge and match it in the chart above.

Type it into the part-number search or the cross-reference chart: each Excel product page lists every OEM and cross-reference number it replaces, including older numbers. Unicel C-7495, for example, is the Hayward CX1260RE element and is replaced by the XLS-777.

No. Excel Filters cartridges are aftermarket replacements manufactured in Austin, Texas to OEM dimensions and media area. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by Hayward.

All four are aftermarket replacements built to the same OEM cartridge dimensions, media area, and flow — the cartridge that fits your housing is the same size whichever brand you choose.

The difference is where they come from: Excel Filters designs and manufactures every cartridge in Austin, Texas and sells factory-direct, without the added distributor markup. Every product page lists the matching Pleatco, Unicel, and Filbur cross-reference numbers so you can match one to one before you order.
